2022, Journal of InfectionCitation Excerpt :In 2012, the annual average rate of TB was 116/100,000 population in Newham, 46.9/100,000 population in Waltham Forest and 45.5/100,000 population in Tower Hamlets.14 By 2016, rates had reduced considerably to 54.6/100,000 in Newham, 31/100,000 in Waltham Forest and 29.9/100,000 in Tower Hamlets and have declined further since.2 This study included consecutive patients who had undergone EBUS-TBNA for CT chest confirmed mediastinal/hilar lymphadenopathy of unknown aetiology, with or without parenchymal changes at Barts Health NHS trust between 14th August 2012 and 5th January 2016.
